HCR was originally founded to assess the viability of early stage companies, coaching them in their business evolution and assisting them in attracting key executives to run them.

Jim Frank

A proven senior executive with over 30 years of experience in wireless and broadband telecommunications, the Internet and a variety of technology based industries. A high energy, technologically astute executive with demonstrated success at developing, implementing and refining business strategies to drive growth while maximizing profit potential - especially in emerging and changing business environments. Held numerous senior level positions, with an emphasis on operations, strategic marketing, business development, engineering oversight and building winning teams.

1998, Jim founded TeleMedia Resources, initially representing the human capital and business interests of two Denver based venture capital firms, Centennial Ventures and Telecom Partners. TeleMedia Resources has evolved into Human Capital Resources (HCR), a professional services firm focused on start-up to medium sized growth companies, assisting them in their business and human capital requirements.

Prior to HCR, Jim was president of Nextel's Northwest Region. He originally worked for CenCall Communications - a Centennial Ventures investment - which went public under the name OneComm and later merged into Nextel Communications.

Before Nextel, Jim spent eight years with US West Cellular (New Vector Group), as General Manager for the Northwest Region, where he launched the area's first cellular telephone system along with all supporting functions.

Additionally, he was founder, investor and senior executive for two other start-up companies: Applied Voice Technology, a software-based voice messaging company and Source Technologies, a computer based, wireless, mulit-image, business communications product company.

Jim has served on the Board of numerous companies and civic organizations and is currently active on the advisory board of three companies. Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, followed by two years with the Department of Justice (FBI), followed by six years in the U.S. Navy as a carrier based fighter pilot.
